                                                              "...looking at TIME"
 My childhood art teacher asked us to keep a scrapbook of art and art reviews- it was the 50's, and my scrapbook showed tiny Pollocks and mysterious Klines and many other Abstract Expressionists, in TIME Magazine reviews. This experience informed my concepts of what art is and what artists do and this year's paintings are preceded by that awareness.
