                                                             POLARITIES

 In “Polarities” the series of large abstract paintings composing Marianne Hornbuckle’s June-July exhibition at Artistas de Santa Fe, she intended to envision dualities such as calm and  frenzy, warm and cool, dark and light.  In the process, her exploration morphed into the dichotomies expressed in our daily language.  Her new acrylics paintings explore ups and downs, ins and outs, here and there, now and then, around and about and more, using energetic color, geometric form, and layers of drifting and subtle texture. Visit Artistas de Santa Fe between June 25 and July 15 to see her explorations!
