EXHIBITIONS In the winter of 2000, having
scheduled a summer exhibition at the
Mesa Public Library Gallery, Los
Alamos, NM, Marianne Hornbuckle
and William Preston invited Connie
Schaekel, an emerging sculptor,
to join them in a themed show named Wabi-Sabi.
The ideas of Leonard
Koren's Wabi-Sabi for Artists, Designers, Poets,
and Philosophers
took
root in the artists' imaginations, emerged through their collective
works,
and was well-received by the Los Alamos audience.

A proposal to St. Johns College Art Gallery, Santa
Fe, resulted in a second
exhibition, this time entitled In Search of
Wabi-Sabi, which took place in
November, 2002, again to enthusiastic reception by both
the college and
the art-loving public, as well
as other artists. Pictures from this exhibition
can be
seen below, as well as a reproduction of a wonderful article in the
SF New Mexican's arts magazine, the Pasatiempo.
